Zita Hubler, MD, PhD

Zita grew up in Illinois and spent her summers in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She received her undergraduate degree in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She enrolled in the MD/PhD program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio, where she worked in Drew Adams’ lab focusing on the development of therapeutics for demyelinating disorders. She joined the Clinical Pathology Physician Scientist Training Program at Washington University in 2022 and hopes to specialize in Molecular Genetic Pathology. In the Miller Lab, she is embarking on projects to develop therapies for patients with genetic neurologic disorders. In her spare time, Zita enjoys running, hiking, collecting plants, and cooking.
