Ben is a student in the MD/PhD program who joined the Miller Lab in 2020. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he performed research in the lab of Dr. Jeremy Herskowitz on synaptic structural remodeling in aging and Alzheimer’s disease. In the Miller Lab, his work focuses on gene regulation in seizure susceptibility and antisense oligonucleotide strategies for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease. In his spare time, Ben enjoys exercising, reading, playing soccer, and relaxing in Forest Park.
