Collin Kreple, MD, PhD

Neuromuscular Fellow

Dr. Kreple completed his MD and PhD at the University of Iowa Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). Following medical school, he completed his internship and neurology residency at the University of California, San Francisco and served as one of the chief residents in his final year. He returned to the Midwest in 2019 to undergo a clinical fellowship at the Washington University Neuromuscular Disease Center. 

Dr. Kreple has authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts in journals including Nature Neuroscience, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and Journal of Neuroscience. He is continuing his research career in the Miller Laboratory where he focuses on identifying mechanisms that protect against, or confer, selective vulnerability of motor neurons in ALS.
